What changed, and when it was last verified

This site makes two claims that decay: a restatement of a specification that changes, and a compatibility map written by reading skills that get updated. This page records when each was last checked, so you can decide whether to trust it today.

The compatibility map is re-read quarterly, and the specification is re-read whenever an entry here says it moved. A date on this page means somebody re-read a source, not that a build ran.

    Four question pages added

    New answers on slash commands and plugins, on what changes between claude.ai, the API and Claude Code, on the allowed-tools field and on testing a skill. Each was written after reading the Agent Skills specification and Anthropic's Claude Code and platform documentation that day.

    Installing a skill: claude.ai and the API corrected

    The answer said installation never involves an upload. That is true only of Claude Code. claude.ai takes a ZIP upload with code execution turned on, and the API takes the skill through the /v1/skills endpoints. The methodology page was also rewritten to describe this reference rather than a catalogue.

    Compatibility map published with 14 relationships

    First publication: 4 conflicts and 10 pairings across 30 skills from 4 publishers, each recorded after reading both skills at the source.

  4. Verified

    SKILL.md reference checked against the current specification

    All six frontmatter fields, the directory layout and the loading stages were read from the published specification. Note that it moved: the spec folder in anthropics/skills now points at agentskills.io.
